Chopping Right
来自 Wiki Ippo
The Chopping Right (打ち下ろしの右 (チョッピング・ライト), Uchioroshi no Migi (Choppingu Raito)) is a technique that is essentially a right straight with a downward angle that adds weight for more power.
Usage
The user sends their right fist upwards behind them and then launches it downward toward their opponent. The technique adds extra weight to the punch, making it seem as if the opponent is getting hit from a punch from a different weight class.[1] The technique benefits off the user being tall and having long arms due to being able to put more weight into it. Ryō Mashiba uses the technique as his finishing blow after using his Flicker Jabs. The Chopping Right is a very destructive punch and feared by many boxers, especially in-fighters. However, missing with the Chopping Right leaves the user's body exposed. Ralph Anderson also uses this technique as his Sunday Punch, by the name “Artillery Strike”. He is a prime example of this punch being more effective the bigger the user is.
