Summary

Miyata tells Ippo that he has a question before getting to the main point, asking about the arm weights. Ippo replies that wearing them is just a habit. Taihei and Kintarō becomes angered and runs towards Miyata, causing Itagaki to stop them to let Ippo and Miyata continue. Itagaki explains to the two about Miyata, and when asked who is stronger, tells them that it remains a mystery that may never be solved as they lost their chance to solve it. Recalling Miyata's last match, Ippo requests for him to not fixate on him anymore. Ippo expresses his admiration of him and wishes that he would stop the harsh weight management as a featherweight as Ippo claims he will never return to the ring again. As Miyata is aware of his condition while at featherweight, tells Ippo he will switch weight classes depending on Ippo's answer. Miyata, who did a research of his own, came to a conclusion that being punch drunk is just a suspicion based on his symptoms, asks Ippo who told him that he is punch drunk. Seeing Ippo at a loss for words, Miyata walks away, telling Ippo that what lies ahead will be his own decision.
